If the following symptoms happen to you abruptly in the context of intense fear or anxiety, you may have panic disorder
- Shaking or racing heart
- Chest pain or tightness
- Shortness of breath, feeling of suffocation, or difficulty breathing
- Feeling choked or a lump in the throat
- Profuse sweating
- Dizziness, lightheadedness, feeling unsteady, or fainting
- Trembling or shaking
- Feeling hot or cold sensations
- Feeling numb or tingling
- Nausea or abdominal discomfort
- Feeling like things are unreal or detached from reality
- Fear of losing control or going crazy
- Fear of dying
