Each counselling session with a psychologist typically lasts around 45-60 minutes, initially every 2-4 weeks. While most people feel comfortable during these conversations, it is not uncommon for individuals to experience moments of vulnerability or emotional discomfort while expressing their feelings. Hence, it may be helpful to plan and prepare enjoyable activities for relaxation after the session.
Many individuals mistakenly believe that seeking help from a psychologist is only necessary when facing severe emotional or mental challenges. However, proactively reaching out to a psychologist when one notices early signs of stress can help to prevent more serious problems from escalating.
